MBF DISPLAY
TEAM ANTICS AT
BASSINGHAM SHOW
Saturday 12th August 2006

MBF
Display Team, and their blustery day!
We
were pleased to be asked to do a display at Bassingham show again this year;
unfortunately Graham and Irene were missing due to family commitments over in
‘possibly’ sunny Stoke on Trent. Ann & Oska were unable to come along too.
We
all commented on the blustery weather when we turned up, hoping that the rain
would hold off until we did our bit. Clad in our jackets and fleeces (Some
of the fleeces were bought on the day) we set up the arena, once we nailed down
everything as the wind was howling at times, the dogs all had a warm up.
We
started to wonder if the PA system was going to turn up, but the show committee
had decided that due to the weather it was not going to be in use. I had
to shout against the wind, which was hard going but other than that, the day
went according to plan, everyone had a good day, and the dogs performed really
well.
Rachael and Rufus did a great job for their first ever display, it didn’t even faze them having to go first!
Sue &
Billy won the long jump again this year for jumping the most people, 5 in all
including either end of the long jump, heaven knows how long the jump was but I
can tell you it was a huge jump for a dog his size, no doubt if I had placed
more people in the long jump he would have jumped it.
Many
thanks to all who attended on the day, especially Will, without him most of the
equipment would have blown down! We were asked to appear again next year if the
Bassingham Show goes ahead, we all hope so, Yet again the team have done MBF
proud.
